Pi Day 3.14 Mile NSRF
The Pi Day 3.14 Mile Run/Walk is a March running event held in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. The course is described as a circular route that visits the Unisphere twice and runs around the Fountain of the Planets. Organizers provide a USATF certified 5K course map for the route.
The event distance is 3.14 miles. There are in-person and virtual participation options. Virtual participants have from the event start day and one full week to log a time and submit up to five photos; virtual items begin shipping the first day of the event.
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, hydration provided at the finish, and refreshments from All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Portable toilets are located near the finish and an NYC Parks building restroom is near Mile 2. In-person participants may receive a mini pie and event finishers can receive a finisher medal and a tee. Bib pickup is available from event staff beginning one hour before the event, and mailed bibs are available for a fee if registered at least ten days in advance.
Age-group recognition is awarded online for Top 1 F/M/X overall and Top 1 F/M/X in standard decade age categories from 14 and under through 90 plus. A portion of proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
