Pi Day 3.14 Mile NSRF
The event features a themed circular running course of 3.14 miles through Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. The route visits the Unisphere twice and passes around the Fountain of the Planets, with start and finish near the Queens Theater. Public parking is listed near the Queens Museum building and Meridian Road.
In-person participants receive a Pi Day finisher medal and a Pi Day tee; those attending in person also receive a mini pie. Hydration is provided at the finish line and refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. An informal bag check area will be available; bathrooms are within a short walk of the start and finish. Additional portable toilets are located near the finish line and the NYC Parks building near mile 2.
A virtual participation option allows competitors a full week from the event start to log a time and submit up to five photos. Virtual items begin shipping on the first day of the event. Bibs can be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration is completed at least ten days in advance; in-person bibs are available from event staff shortly before the event.
Age-group recognition is provided for top finishers overall and in the following age brackets: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 plus. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
