Run For Tomorrow's Hope 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community running event hosted at St. Joseph School in Garden City. It features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run, and also supports virtual participation with an upload window for times and photos after the event.
The Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation aims to support Catholic elementary schools on Long Island by increasing awareness and providing scholarship and program funding for students and schools. The foundation states it helps hundreds of children each year attend Catholic elementary school.
Amenities for participants include a commemorative T-shirt and additional race swag for participants under 14. Packet pickup is organized before the event at St. Joseph School and mailed bibs are available for virtual entrants; mailed bibs ship in a window around the event date.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Special awards include trophies for fastest Catholic high school and elementary school teams when teams have six scoreable members, a top Catholic school teacher prize, and prizes for all Fun Run finishers.
