Run For Tomorrow's Hope 5K Run/Walk
This community event is scheduled for March 14, 2026 at St. Joseph School, 450 Franklin Avenue, Garden City. It benefits the Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, which funds scholarships and programs to support Catholic elementary schools on Long Island.
Event formats include:
- 5K run/walk
- 1 Mile fun run
Amenities listed for participants include a commemorative T-shirt and additional race swag for participants under 14. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers. Age-group awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age brackets, and special team and school categories include trophies for fastest Catholic high school and elementary school teams (teams need six to score) and recognition for the top male and female Catholic school teacher regardless of school affiliation. Fun Run finishers receive prizes.
Logistics note that early packet pickup is available the day before the event at St. Joseph School. Virtual participation is supported: virtual entrants receive shipped bibs and may upload times and photos during the posting window from March 14 to March 22. Results and event photos are provided online and via email or text, with same-day finish-line photos and video available. A course map is available on MapMyRun. Registration is not yet open.
