The event is a community 5K run/walk held at St. Joseph School, 450 Franklin Avenue, Garden City. The program also includes a 1 Mile Fun Run.

The event supports the Tomorrow's Hope Foundation, which provides scholarship and program funding to sustain Catholic elementary schools on Long Island and increase awareness of their needs.
Participant amenities include a commemorative T-shirt, and additional race swag for all participants under 14. Packet pickup is available in advance of race day; a self-lookup area is provided for bib retrieval, and mailed bibs are shipped to virtual participants within a defined shipping window.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups (8 & Under; 9-10; 11-12; 13-15; 16-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+). Special trophies are listed for fastest girls and boys Catholic high school teams, fastest Catholic elementary school team (co-ed), and the top male and female Catholic school teacher regardless of school affiliation. Fun Run finishers receive prizes.
Results are provided online with live updates, and finish-line video and event photos are available the same day. Virtual participants may upload times and photos during the designated post-event upload window. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
