Run Richmond 16.19
Run Richmond 16.19 is a cultural run-or-walk experience presented by the Djimon Hounsou Foundation in Richmond, Virginia. The event invites participants to move through locations tied to more than 400 years of Black history in the Richmond area, with an emphasis on engaging with history where it unfolded.
Participants can choose between two symbolic distances and use a free, GPS-enabled educational audio guide that brings historical context to the route. The audio guide is narrated by a two-time Oscar nominee. The event is listed as a commemorative partner of VA250, the 250-year celebration of America, and as the official race partner of BGR!s Sweat With Your Sole National Conference.
The event site is Abner Clay Park, 500 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23220. Additional event materials include separate information pages for each distance and media resources such as race photos and a promotional video. Registration details and pricing are provided by the organizer on the event registration platform. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
