Event Details
The Frozen Foot Challenge Adventure Race is an adventure race that will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Virginia. The race will take place from the park's Aquatics Center parking area. Two main race courses are offered: a 10 Hour and a 5 Hour course.
Course and Format
The course features mountain biking and trekking sections only. The mountain biking takes place on over 40 miles of IMBA Bronze-rated single-track trails within the park. The trekking (foot navigation) section occurs off-trail through open woods with small rolling hills. The 5-hour course is described as part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series.
Registration and Events
Registration for the competitive events closes on March 2, 2026. Events are available for solo participants and teams of 2, 3, and 4 people for both the 5-hour and 10-hour durations. Volunteer registration closes on March 10, 2026.
Additional Information
Participants receive race swag, including custom arm sleeves, a T-shirt, and an eco-friendly slate medal. The event features electronic punching (E-punching), GPS trackers, and hot post-race food. A post-race social bonfire is also part of the 10-hour event schedule. The course is designed by Chip & Andrea of Team ThisAbility, with maps by TANZ Navigation and Mark Latanzi.
