Run for the Hills 5K
The Run for the Hills 5K is an annual neighborhood event held in Richmond, Virginia. Organized by the Forest Hill Neighborhood Association, this tradition has taken place for over 16 years. Participants can choose to walk or run through Forest Hill Park and the surrounding neighborhood.
The event offers a single distance for participants:

The route begins and ends at the Stone House in Forest Hill Park. To guide participants, the course features markers and volunteers positioned at various points along the way. While there is a registration fee of 25 USD plus processing fees, those who register before March 1st are guaranteed a long-sleeved t-shirt. Online registration for the activity remains open until March 12th.
For logistics, several packet pick-up and walk-up registration options are available in the days leading up to the race. These sessions are held at the Lucky Road Willow Lawn location and the Stone House. On the day of the event, the circle drive around the Stone House is closed to vehicles. Local parking is available in the main lot at 42nd Street or on nearby residential streets.
Awards are distributed for various categories, including the first male and female finishers, the first two youth finishers, and the fastest runner pushing a stroller.
