Run or Walk the Rounds for Nursing 5K
The 2nd Annual Run or Walk the Rounds for Nursing 5K takes place on October 24, 2026 at Centennial Regional Park in Port Charlotte, Florida. Packet pickup is scheduled the same day at the Centennial Regional Park soccer field parking lot, 1185 Centennial Blvd.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 miles - Timed 5K run
- 3.1 miles - Untimed 5K walk
Registration opens May 19, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Fees are listed separately for the timed run and the untimed walk, and age-based pricing and local running club discounts apply. Registrations completed by October 2 are guaranteed the official race shirt.
Participants will follow trails through Centennial Park. Funds raised will be used for scholarships for local high school graduates pursuing careers in nursing, supporting efforts to address the nursing shortage in Southwest Florida.
Awards are planned for overall male and female winners and for the top male and female competitors in each age group. Age groups are 0–10, 11–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus. Prizes include Rotary baseball caps or visors, insulated Rotary tumblers, and gift certificates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
