Race Logistics and Course Details
The US Road Running event in Punta Gorda, Florida, features several distance options staged at Cooper Street Recreation Center. Participants can choose between three distinct race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
The event is held on an asphalt surface. The 5K and 10K participants utilize an out-and-back course measuring 1.56 miles per lap. Runners completing the 5K finish two laps, while 10K runners complete four laps. The Half Marathon utilizes a separate course layout with a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop that participants complete six times. All courses are subject to a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Participant Information
Attendance requires pre-registration through the RunSignup platform, as no on-site registration is available. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location starting 30 minutes before the race. Facilities include bathrooms located near the starting line. Parking is available specifically by the baseball fields. Finishing participants receive a medal, and the event includes additional components such as costume recognition and a cumulative series points system.
