About the race
Run Nidderdale is a trail race held on the Nidderdale Showground near Pateley Bridge in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The event features a 10 km waymarked and marshalled route that runs through ancient woodland, across moorland, up to a trig point with views over the Nidderdale valley, along the Nidderdale Way past the Two Stoops monument, and down a descent into the finish.
Two-thirds of proceeds will be donated in equal amounts to the club's nominated charities, the MND Association and the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association; the remaining third will be retained for club funds. The trail uses some private land that must not be accessed before or after the race date.
Entries open on 20 November 2026 and close on 19 May 2027. Minimum age for the trail race is 16. Entry fees are listed for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, with increased rates from 23 April 2027. Prizes are awarded in open, V40, V50 and V60 categories, plus first male and female team prizes and spot prizes. There is a £50 cash prize for a male or female course record if broken; current course records are 00:38:30 for men and 00:47:58 for women.
Parking, toilets and water are available at the showground. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and will be licensed by the Trail Running Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
