Beamsley Beacon
Beamsley Beacon is an evening fell race held on Thursday 26 June 2025. The event covers 5.5 miles with about 1100 ft of ascent. The course starts and finishes at St Peters Church Hall in Addingham and runs out to Beamsley Beacon and back. The listed date is a change from the FRA handbook.
The route begins with a lap of the field at the hall, then follows Church Street and Bark Lane, crosses the river by a suspension bridge, and climbs via tracks, stiles and farmyards through woods and fields to the open moor. The route skirts the bottom of the Beacon before a final climb to the pile of stones marking the summit. Return is by permitted footpaths; runners choosing an alternate descent are advised to recce the course beforehand.
Registration is held at St Peters Church Hall. Entry is for over 16s only and the entry fee is £5. There is a limited amount of parking on the grass next to the church hall.
