Run Hatteras 5k Road Race Series - July 24, 2026
This event is a summer road race held in Avon, NC, in the Kinnakeet Shores area, with the start and finish located at SUN Realty, 41838 NC-12. The series includes two measured distances:

- 1 Mile
Entry fees are stated by category: Adult $45, Youth under 17 $40, and Active Military Veteran $40. There is no pre-event morning packet pick-up. Race day packet pickup and walk-up registration take place at the start line, and online registration remains available.
The course is described as flat and suitable for run or walk through residential Kinnakeet Shores, part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Timing is managed with chip timing. Every participant receives a T-shirt and a unique finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, to the first place youth boy and girl (14 and under), and to the first place male and female masters (40 and over). A light post-race breakfast and refreshments are provided at the finish line.
