Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series
The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series takes place in Avon, North Carolina, within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The course leads participants through the Kinnakeet Shores area and is characterized by flat terrain.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The event uses chip timing to record official results for all participants. Every person who completes the distance receives a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the overall category, as well as the first-place male and female in the Youth (14 and under) and Masters (40 and over) divisions.
The race starts and finishes at the SUN Realty location on NC-12. Registration is available for adults, youth under 17, and active military or veterans. Following the event, light breakfast items and refreshments are provided for participants at the finish line.
