Event Overview
The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series is held on Friday mornings during the summer in Avon, North Carolina. The event takes place in the Kinnakeet Shores area, which is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Event Details
The start and finish line is located at SUN Realty on NC-12 in Avon. The course is described as flat and fast-paced, suitable for running or walking. All participants receive a T-shirt and a unique finisher medal. The event uses chip timing. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the first-place youth boy and girl (aged 14 and under), and the first-place male and female masters (aged 40 and over). A light breakfast and refreshments are provided at the finish line after the race.
Registration and Logistics
Registration fees are $45 for adults, $40 for youth under 17, and $40 for active military personnel and veterans. There is no packet pickup before the event morning.
