Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series

The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series takes place in Avon, North Carolina, within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This event is held at Kinnakeet Shores and features a flat course through the local area. Participants can choose between two different distances:

The event uses chip timing for all participants. Those who complete the event receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the overall category. Additional awards are given to the first-place youth boy and girl (aged 14 and under) and the first-place male and female in the masters category (aged 40 and over).

Registration is open to adults, youth under 17, and active military veterans. Participants have the option of walk-up registration on the morning of the event at the start line located at SUN Realty.
