Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series in Avon, NC
This event is a summer road race series held in Kinnakeet Shores, Avon, North Carolina, at SUN Realty, 41838 NC-12. Routes run through part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and are described as flat and fast paced.
Two race distances are offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile
Registration fees are listed by category: adult $45, youth under 17 $40, active military or veteran $40. Online registration remains available. There is no pre event morning packet pick up. Race day packet pickup and walk up registration occur race morning from 7:00 to 7:45 AM at the start line at SUN Realty, Avon.
Timing is by chipped timing. All participants receive a T shirt and a unique finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, first place youth boy and girl (14 and under), and first place male and female masters (40 and over).
