Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series
The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series takes place in Avon, North Carolina, within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This event features a flat, fast-paced course through the Kinnakeet Shores neighborhood. Participants can choose between two distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The race utilizes chip timing to provide accurate results for all participants. The course setup accommodates both runners and walkers. Registered participants receive a race T-shirt and a unique finisher medal.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the overall category. Recognition is also given to the first-place male and female in the Masters division (ages 40 and over), as well as the first-place youth boy and girl (ages 14 and under).
Following the conclusion of the event, a light breakfast and refreshments are served at the finish line located at SUN Realty. While online registration remains open, on-site registration and packet pickup are available at the start line on the morning of the event.
