Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series

The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series takes place in Avon, North Carolina, within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This event is held on Friday morning and features a course through the Kinnakeet Shores area. The route is paved and flat, making it accessible for both runners and walkers.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

The event utilizes chip timing to provide results for all participants. Every person registered receives a T-shirt and a finisher medal upon completing their event. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the overall category. Additionally, first-place awards are given to the top male and female in the Youth category (ages 14 and under) and the Masters category (ages 40 and over).

Registration is available online as well as on-site on the morning of the event at the start line. A light breakfast including refreshments is provided for participants at the finish line following the race. The event is located at SUN Realty on NC-12 in Avon.
