Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series
The Run Hatteras 5K Road Race Series takes place in Avon, North Carolina, on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The event is hosted at SUN Realty on NC-12 and provides participants with a flat course through the Kinnakeet Shores area. This race is part of a summer series held on Friday mornings.
Participants can choose from the following distances:

- 1 Mile
The event utilizes chip timing to record official results. All participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the overall category, as well as the first-place male and female in the Masters (40 and over) and Youth (14 and under) categories.
The registration fee varies for adults, youth under 17, and active military or veterans. Race day packet pickup and walk-up registration are available at the start line.
