About the Event

The Run Hatteras 5k Road Race Series is part of the Outer Banks Running Company's summer event schedule. It takes place in Avon, North Carolina, within the Kinnakeet Shores community on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Distances

Location and Logistics

The race starts and finishes at SUN Realty on NC-12 in Avon. Packet pickup and on-site registration are available on race morning at the start line. All participants receive a T-shirt, a unique finisher medal, and chip timing.

Awards and Refreshments

Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the first-place youth boy and girl (14 & under), and the first-place male and female masters runners (40 & over). A light post-race breakfast and refreshments are provided at the finish line.
