Event Overview
Run Frimley is a community running event held at Frimley Lodge Park in Camberley. The event features multiple distances to accommodate different participants, including road races and a specialized family fun run. The routes are set on smooth-surfaced tarmac roads that are closed to traffic for the duration of the competitive races.
The course features a varied gradient with some hilly sections. Despite the elevation changes, the routes are pushchair and wheelchair friendly, though the use of running pushchairs is recommended due to the mixed terrain. To support participants, the course includes dedicated cheer points and music stations at various intervals.
Race Categories
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 10 km - A chip-timed competitive race on closed tarmac roads.
- 5 km - A chip-timed competitive race on closed tarmac roads.
- 1 Mile Colour Fun Run - A non-timed event featuring paint and bubble activation zones.
Facilities and Experience
Participants in the 5 km and 10 km races receive a bespoke medal and access to the Event Village. The Event Village is open throughout the morning and serves as the central hub for the trophy presentation and post-race celebrations. Finish line refreshments are provided for runners.
The venue at Frimley Lodge Park provides free car parking and an additional parking field for attendees. The parking areas are located approximately a two-minute walk from the main event arena.
