Event overview
The WOKC Run for the Kids is scheduled for June 27, 2026 in Plano, Texas at Red Tail Pavilion, 2801 E Spring Creek Pkwy. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K registration fee is $35 and the 1 Mile Fun Run fee is $30. Registration prices increase after February 27, 2026.
Logistics and beneficiary
Event parking is available at Collin College across the street; there is no parking at the race start. Bag check is located near check-in on race day. Packet pickup is listed as TBD; another person may pick up a packet if they provide the participant name and event. There will be water stations on the course, restrooms or porta-potties near the start/finish or on course, and participants will receive a shirt and a medal. The event benefits Wipe Out Kids' Cancer (WOKC). WOKC provides Warrior Family Programs, funds pediatric cancer research, and supplies the WOKC Buddy Bag to every Dallas-Fort Worth child hospitalized for a suspected or confirmed pediatric cancer diagnosis; each Buddy Bag includes an iPad.
