Event Details
The Heart of Heath 5K & 1K Family Run takes place in April at Towne Center Park in Heath, Texas. The event includes two distances: a 5K run and a 1K Family Run.
On-Site Features
The event uses electronic chip timing for the 5K. Awards are given for the top three overall finishers in the 5K, plus the top three males and females in each age bracket. For the 1K Family Run, awards are given to the top three boys and top three girls.
The 1K route is integrated into the 5K course, with both events sharing the same start and finish lines. Participants in both events may receive a 2026 commemorative T-shirt while supplies last.
Activities and Amenities
Post-race activities include giant-size games like chess, checkers, Jenga, and Connect 4. There will be a DJ, complimentary healthy treats, and prize drawings for registered runners. A special guest, the Easter Bunny, will be present.
Registration and Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Thursday and Friday before the race at a specified local store. Onsite packet pickup and registration is also available on race morning. Late registrations must be completed using a mobile device and a credit card, as cash is not accepted. Parking details were not finalized at the time of publication.
