Hope Run For Hunger 5K
Hope Run For Hunger is presented as a 5K running event with a course distance of 3.1 Miles. The program includes a separate kids run for ages 12 and under and an Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under that takes place immediately after the 5K. The event also features a post-race awards program recognizing the top three overall male, top three overall female, and top three overall kids; winners receive medals and formal recognition.
Registration options listed include pricing for adults, children, and family entries, with a family rate for four and reduced fees for kids 12 and under. Onsite registration is available on race day and package pickup is offered in advance at The Source of Hope as well as at the event for those who cannot attend the earlier pickup.
Event-day guidelines note that blankets and lawn chairs are permitted, canopies and tents are not allowed on park grounds, a water station will be provided during the event, glass containers are prohibited, and dogs are welcome if kept on a leash. Free entries are available for infants in strollers and for pets through a separate application process. The schedule includes meal service, an awards ceremony, and group photos following the races.
