Event Overview
The Garland Marathon is a multi-day running event taking place on April 4-5, 2026 in DFW, Texas. It represents a rebranding of the former Firewheel event and will feature the organization's first marathon distance.
Available Distances
The event offers a variety of races and combination challenges, including:
- Marathon (Firewheel Marathon)
- Half Marathon (Texas Western Half-Marathon)
- 10K (Rodeo Run 10K)
- 5K (Rodeo Run 5K)
- 1 Mile (untimed, no age group awards)
- Kid's Dash (a free 100-200 meter sprint)
- Challenge Events: 5K & Half-Marathon, 10K & Half-Marathon, 5K & Marathon, and 10K & Marathon.
Registration Details
Registration for the 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, and 1 mile includes an event-themed t-shirt and a finisher medal. To guarantee a specific t-shirt size, participants must register by March 21, 2026. A price increase for most events occurs after March 28, 2026.
Awards
Age group awards are presented for the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. Awards are given four places deep in numerous divisions starting from 0-4 years old up to 80+. Overall and masters (40+) and grand masters (60+) winners also receive awards. All awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
