Events and Dates
The Garland Marathon takes place over two days, Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, 2026. The event includes the following distances:
- Firewheel Marathon (Sunday)
- Texas Western Half-Marathon (Sunday)
- Rodeo Run 10K (Saturday)
- Rodeo Run 5K (Saturday)
- 1 Mile (Saturday, untimed)
- Kid's Dash (Saturday, a free 100-200 meter sprint) There are also challenge events that combine distances across the two days: 5K & Half-Marathon, 10K & Half-Marathon, 5K & Marathon, and 10K & Marathon.
Registration and Awards
Standard registration for timed events includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a finisher medal. A t-shirt size is guaranteed for registrations received by March 21. Age group awards are given for the 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and marathon. Age groups are awarded four places deep across many divisions, starting from 0-4 years old. Overall and masters awards are also presented. All awards are distributed at the event and are not shipped.
Event Details
The Kids Dash is free to enter, though shirts and medals can be purchased as add-ons. The new 1 Mile option is untimed and does not have age group awards, but participants still receive a finisher medal and shirt. Volunteers can earn a code for a free race entry.
