Run for the Kids of St Jude
The Run for the Kids of St Jude takes place in Omaha, Nebraska, starting and finishing at Aksarben Village. The event is hosted in collaboration with Fleet Feet and serves as a fundraising effort for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. According to the organizers, 100% of the registration fees go directly to the hospital to support pediatric cancer research and patient care.
The event offers two different distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile
Participants can choose to run or walk the courses. The event includes a coffee and doughnut social during the morning check-in and a scheduled photo opportunity. Registration includes an event t-shirt for those who sign up by the designated deadline. Packet pickup is available both the day before the race at the Fleet Feet location in Aksarben Village and on the morning of the event at Stinson Park.
The initiative is powered by Team Ethan and was established to give back following a local family's experience with pediatric cancer treatment. The organizers have set a fundraising goal of $10,000 to assist families and children receiving world-class medical treatment and support services.
