Event Overview
Turkey Trails - Omaha is a Thanksgiving-themed running event held at Seymour Smith Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The event features several race distances and formats to accommodate different types of participants, including chip-timed competitive races and untimed recreational dashes.
Race Categories
Participants can choose from a variety of distances:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile race.
- 10k: A 6.2-mile running race.
- 5k: A 3.1-mile running race.
- 1 Mile: An untimed race.
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter untimed event for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Race: An option to complete the event at any location.
The 5k and 10k races utilize chip-timing technology to provide live results and participant awards. For the 1 Mile and Kids Dash categories, timing is not provided. There is also a Volunteer then Run option where individuals assist with event setup before participating in a race of their choice.
Participant Amenities
Participants in the Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1 Mile events receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Those participating in the Kids Dash receive a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a specialized medal, though a free registration option without equipment is also available for the dash. Finisher treats and free photos are provided at the event. To guarantee a shirt size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks prior to the race day.
