About the race
Coach McKnight Fun Run is a community fundraiser held in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on November 7. The event raises funds for the Plattsmouth Education Foundation, Plattsmouth Community Schools activities, and scholarships. The event takes place at Plattsmouth High School and uses the Blue Devil Stadium track and the adjacent fitness trail that loops around the school property. The entire route is paved.
The 5K course uses the track and the fitness trail with three laps before finishing on the track in front of the grandstands. The one mile walk and the kids mile follow a single lap of the trail around the school grounds. Chip timing is provided and age group awards are given. Registered participants receive a tech style long sleeve shirt, a race bib, and a finisher medal.
A virtual participation option is available for those who cannot attend in person. The event is listed as the sixth annual edition. Registration information notes that registration by October 6 includes a shirt. The event combines a competitive 5K with family oriented activities and fundraising for local school programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
