The 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT - Fifth Anniversary is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Sarasota, FL at Lakeview Elementary School, 7299 Proctor Road. The event includes the following distances:

- 0.5K fun run for kids
The 5K is a professionally chip-timed, flat out-and-back course with a loop that travels through a wooded neighborhood. The race is sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club and is part of the 2026 Racing Series. The field is capped at 500 registrants. The event is organized as a fundraiser for Young Life Sarasota and registrations are treated as donations; no refunds are offered. The race will proceed rain or shine and will convert to a virtual format only if conditions are unsafe.
Logistics and inclusions
Registration includes a lightweight 100% cotton fitted shirt (register by February 1 to be guaranteed size), a special finisher medal, and chip timing. Awards are offered six deep in 17 age categories plus overall and multiple masters divisions. Amenities listed include one water stop about halfway through the course, EMS on site, child care in a Kid Zone, and post-race coffee, donuts and other breakfast snacks including a vegan option. Parking and indoor bathrooms are at Sarasota Baptist Church across the street; portable toilets are available at Lakeview. Bib pick up is Friday, February 13, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Balance of Sarasota, with additional race-morning pick up available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
