Run For Sight 2026
Run For Sight is a charity running event scheduled for early September 2026 at Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon, Michigan, along Lake Michigan. The event benefits the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) and supports its vision rehabilitation and related services.
Distances offered:
- 5K - Run, Walk, Guided Run, Hand Cycle
- 1K - Deck Dash Kids Run
Packet pickup locations are listed for the days before and the morning of the event, including Shoreline Vision and a parking lot between the Coast Guard Station and Margaret Drake Elliot Park. The City of Muskegon charges updated parking fees at Pere Marquette Park: daily passes are $20 and a season pass for non-residents is $40; payment kiosks accept cards and coins and printed passes should be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard.
Entry fees noted include a 5K early bird price of $30 and a later price of $35, and a 1K kids entry of $10 which includes a T-shirt and medal. T-shirt orders close on August 8 and registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or preferred size. Results are posted online after the event.
If severe weather makes the course unsafe or road access is not possible, the event may be delayed or cancelled. Refunds are not offered and registrations are treated as donations supporting ABVI. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
