Run For Sight 2026 : Muskegon, Michigan
Run For Sight is a community fundraising event held in September 2026 in Muskegon at Pere Marquette Park along Lake Michigan. The event benefits the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), which serves nearly 1,000 children and adults across Michigan each year. The 2026 edition is presented by Shoreline Vision.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Guided Run/Walk
- 5K Hand Cycle
- 1K Deck Dash Kids Run
- Volunteer
The 5K Run is organized as a competitive race. The 5K Walk is described as family and dog friendly; dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after them. The 1K Deck Dash Kids Run includes a T shirt and a medal with the listed entry fee.
Practical information noted by the organizer includes packet pickup at Shoreline Vision on the day before the event and additional pickup on race morning at the parking lot between the Coast Guard Station and Margaret Drake Elliot Park. Parking at Pere Marquette has updated fees: daily passes and season passes are available, and payment kiosks accept cards and coins. T shirt orders close in early August and registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or preferred size.
Donations may be made by check payable to ABVI or by credit card. In the event of severe weather the organizer may delay or cancel the event; registrations are not refundable and are treated as donations supporting ABVI. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
