August Run for Renee 5k
This road race covers 5 km and is scheduled for August 16, 2026 in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. The course is certified and runs point to point. The start is at the corner of Gondola Point Rd and Vincent Rd and follows Gondola Point Rd to where it ends near the ferry. The first roughly 2 km are mostly downhill, followed by some small ups and downs to the finish.
Registration is online only and there is no race day registration. The regular registration deadline is August 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm Atlantic Time. Entry fee is CAD 10.00 per participant. Registration is capped at 50 runners because the roads remain open to traffic.
This is a no frills event: no t shirts, no medals, no chip timing. Refreshments are provided at the finish. A points system runs across seven races and small prizes are awarded after the final race; points and tiebreaking follow established procedures. Bib pick up takes place at Fairvale Elementary School before the race and participants are led to the start. There is plenty of parking at the finish and no transportation is provided from finish to start, so runners are encouraged to use a buddy system.
