New Nouveau Brunswick Marathon
The New Nouveau Brunswick Marathon takes place in Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick. This multi-day event features a variety of running distances held on a course consisting of a mix of walking trails and asphalt roads. All event pledges are donated to the UNB Reds.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Marathon
- 6 Pack (25 km)
- 3 Pack (13 km)
- 5 km
- Colonel Nase Mile (1.6 km)
- 2 Miler Fun Run (3.2 km)
The schedule begins on Friday evening with the one-mile run. Saturday activities include race package pickup and a complementary 2 mile fun run, followed by a pasta party. The main events take place on Sunday, starting with the marathon followed by the 25 km, 13 km, and 5 km races.
Event amenities include a beer garden and a cribbage tournament on Sunday afternoon. Transportation is available via bus between Saint John and the River Valley Community Centre. For families, a youth drop-off service is provided at the local rink on Sunday morning. The event is part of the RunNB Youth Series and offers special registration rates for residents of Grand Bay-Westfield for the 5 km distance.
