About the race
The Hampton 5 Miler takes place on September 13, 2026, in Hampton, New Brunswick. It is the host race for the RunNB 5 mile (8 km) Championship. The certified course has been the same for 24 years.
The race starts at 9:30 AM from Hampton High School. A youth event is held the day before, on September 12, at Hampton Elementary School. It features cross-country races with a 1.0 km and a 2.5 km race for elementary and middle school runners, and a 4 km race for high school runners. The fee for these youth events is $3.00.
Registration is on-site only on race day from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. The youth races start at 10:00 AM. For the main 8 km race, late registration is available on September 12 at Hampton Elementary School between 9:00 AM and noon. The late registration fee is $35.00.
The course features two water stations. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 8 km race. All runners in the 1 km and 2.5 km youth races receive a medal. The 4 km high school race also counts as a qualifying event for school (NBIAA) regional championships. Race proceeds support Hampton cross-country programming and Hampton High and Middle School athletics and theatre.
Refreshments (coffee, fruit, bagels, Gatorade, water) will be provided. Strollers and dogs are not permitted for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
