Event overview

The Chad Lake Foundation presents the 3rd annual Run for Reform on March 21, 2026 in Owensboro, Kentucky. The event includes the following distances:

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 10K Run/Walk

Both races start and finish at Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3000 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42303. The course runs through the college campus and the surrounding neighborhoods. The 5K is one loop and the 10K is two loops. The course is described by the organizer as flat and fast. All proceeds will benefit the foundation's work to bring awareness and resources to individuals affected by incarceration.

Registration, parking and awards

Initial entry prices listed are $25 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K, with prices increasing after February 28, 2026. Additional registration tiers listed include higher fees for registrations after March 1 and day-of registration. Registrants who register by March 1 are noted as guaranteed a t-shirt.

Parking is available in lots off Scherm Road and by the baseball field. The organizer asks that people do not park on Wesleyan Way; parking is also available off College Drive, but exiting that lot may be affected by runners on course. Awards will be given to overall male and female winners for each race and to the top male and female in each age group: 1-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-99. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
