Run for Reform 5K/10K
The third annual Run for Reform takes place on the grounds of Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. Organised by The Chad Lake Foundation, the event generated funds to support awareness and providing resources for individuals affected by incarceration. The race site is located at 3000 Frederica Street, with designated parking available in lots off Scherm Road and near the baseball field.
Participants can choose from two different distances:
- 5 km Run or Walk
- 10 km Run or Walk
The course layout begins and ends at Kentucky Wesleyan College. The route leads through the college campus and into the surrounding residential neighborhoods. The 5 km race consists of a single loop, while the 10 km distance follows a two-loop course. The terrain is flat and paved, providing a standard surface for walking or running.
Registered participants who complete their registration by early March are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers for both race distances. Additionally, recognition is given to the top male and female finishers in various age categories, which include groups ranging from ages 1 to 19 up to 60 to 99.
