Event overview

The Run for Reform 5K/10K takes place on March 21, 2026, in Owensboro, Kentucky. The Chad Lake Foundation presents the first annual Anchored in Hope 5K/10K. Both races start and finish at Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3000 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

Course and logistics

The route runs through the college campus and surrounding neighborhoods. The 5K is one loop; the 10K is two loops of the same course. The course is described as flat. Parking is available in lots off Scherm Road and by the baseball field; participants are asked not to park on Wesleyan Way. Parking is also available off College Drive, though exiting those lots may be influenced by finishing runners.

Registration and awards

Registration fees listed for this event range from $25 to $35 for the 5K and $35 to $45 for the 10K. Registering by March 1 is required to be guaranteed a race T-shirt. Awards will be given to overall male and female finishers for each race, and to the top male and female in each age group for both races. Age groups listed are 1-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-99.
