Event Overview
The Owensboro YMCA BBQ 5K is a 5 km event organized by the Owensboro Family YMCA. It takes place in downtown Owensboro and is connected to the city's 2026 BBQ & Barrels festival. - BBQ 5K chip timing
- BBQ 5K no timing - non competitive
Registration and Fees
Standard registration costs $35 for adults and $20 for participants aged 1 to 18. This price increases after May 7, 2026. Registration is also available on the day of the race for $40, though a race t-shirt is not guaranteed for late registrants. A commemorative t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations received by April 26th.
Packet Pickup
Race packets can be picked up in advance on Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8 at the Owensboro Family YMCA on 900 KY Parkway. On race day, packet pickup is available at the event location from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
Awards
The top overall male and female finishers will receive prizes valued at $100. The top three finishers in each age group will receive medals. Age groups range from 1-10 to 70-99.
