Sutton Derby Day 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 2, 2026 comprises two footrace distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Online registration fees for the 5K are $25 per individual when completed before April 22 and $30 per individual after April 22. A family online rate for up to four people is $75 before April 22 and $100 after April 22. Online registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run is $15 before April 22 and $20 after April 22. Early registrants are offered a free race shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after April 22 or for on site registration.
Packet pickup is available on May 1 from 8:30am to 2:30pm at the Sutton Elementary School front office. On-site registration and packet pickup take place on May 2 behind Sutton Elementary School at the Sunset Drive entrance; on-site fees match the higher post-April 22 rates. No shirts are guaranteed for race day registration.
The 5K has cash awards for overall male and female winners and age-division awards for the top three male and female finishers across multiple age groups. There are no awards for the 1 Mile Fun Run participants. The course starts and finishes on the Sunset Drive side of Sutton Elementary School. Parking is available in the school staff lots; participants are asked not to park on Lewis Lane or on Sunset Drive. Race timing is provided by To The Finish Timing.
