Sutton Derby Day 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event offers two race distances: a 5k Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. It is held at Sutton Elementary School in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Online registration is available. The 5k costs $25 per individual or $75 for a family of up to four if registered before April 22, after which the price increases to $30 per individual or $100 per family. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk costs $15 before April 22 and $20 after. Registering by April 22 includes a free race shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after that date or for on-site registration.
Packet pickup is available on May 1 at the Sutton Elementary School front office and on May 2 behind the school on Sunset Drive. On-site registration is also available on May 2. Parking is available in staff lots at the school, but not on Lewis Lane or Sunset Drive.
For the 5k, awards include $50 cash for the overall male and female winners. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female participants in categories ranging from 5-6 years old to 70 & over. There are no awards for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
