Run for Reading 5k
Run for Reading is a fundraising 5k event held at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach on November 7, 2026. One hundred percent of proceeds support the Palm Beach County Imagination Library, which mails one free book per month to children from birth through their fifth birthday and has gifted more than 35,000 books locally.
The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual option. Participants receive a custom race medal, race t-shirt, swag bag, and post-race refreshments. Overall and age group winners receive custom awards; an awards ceremony follows the event. Chip timing is provided by AccuChip.

Packet pickup includes an early session at Fit2Run at the Wellington Green Mall on November 5 and same day packet pickup and registration at Commons Park on November 7. A book drive will collect gently used children’s books at both packet pickup and race day; free books will also be available to take home on race day. Each participant receives a raffle ticket. Registration opens December 24, 2025. In-person registration closes July 20, 2026; virtual registration closes November 7, 2026. Fees are $25 for the in-person 5k and $20 for the virtual 5k.
