26th Annual Run 4 the Pies
Run 4 the Pies is a long-standing Thanksgiving Day tradition held in Tequesta, Florida. Established in 2000, this community event takes place at Constitution Park and serves as a benefit for the Good Shepherd Food Pantry. The event typically reaches full capacity every year, with registration opening in July.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 4-miler (open to runners and walkers)
- 1-mile youth run for ages 8 to 12
- Li’l Pilgrim Dash for children aged 7 and under
The course is located at the intersection of Seabrook and Dover Road. To maintain safety on the route, strollers and dogs are not permitted. Every participant must wear an official race bib to access the course and start/finish areas. The event is timed using Accuchip technology, and participants receive finisher medals and race tech shirts. Age group awards are also distributed following the competition.
A Thanksgiving-themed costume contest is part of the morning activities. Judges evaluate participants in the starting corrals, looking for creative costumes in categories for men, women, children, and groups. In addition to the athletic events, the organizers encourage the donation of non-perishable food items such as canned proteins, pasta, and cereal to support local families in need through the church food pantry.
Parking is available in public shopping plazas near the park. Packet pickup, which requires a registration confirmation, is held at the Parish Hall of Good Shepherd Church in the days leading up to the race and on the morning of the event.
