Pole Vault in Paradise 5K
The Pole Vault in Paradise 5K is a fun run held in Key West that raises funds for local youth athletics and track and field development in the Lower Keys. The course starts at Higgs Beach, follows a path toward Smathers Beach with ocean views, and finishes on the White Street Pier.
Registration opens on 2026-09-06 and closes on 2026-12-15. The listed registration fee is $30.00. Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the event at Higgs Beach; participants who registered by December 15 will receive an event shirt at packet pickup.
Parking directly at Higgs Beach will be limited and partially blocked due to event setup and operations near Salute. Attendees are advised to use public parking lots or the park across the street and allow extra time to walk to the start area.
After the run, the event program includes pole vault competition, a silent auction, and activities intended to support and showcase local and elite athletes. Proceeds from the event are applied directly to programs that grow track and field opportunities for young athletes in the community.
