Run For Gary
Run For Gary is a community memorial event on 3 June 2027 that raises money to be split between Macmillan Nurses and St Teresas Hospice. The programme includes licensed 5K races seeded by predicted finishing times, a U12 one mile run for younger athletes, and a shared mass run of about 2 miles that brings together earlier race participants, family and supporters.
The 5K is a flat road and pavement course and is organised as seeded races so participants compete with others of similar predicted pace. Runners in the 5K must be aged 11 and over. The U12 one mile provides a short race for young athletes. The mass run follows the competitive events and offers a group running opportunity in memory of Gary.
