Run For Gary
Run For Gary is a community running event held on Thursday 3 June 2027 in memory of a much-loved runner. The event brings together runners, families and supporters for an evening of running and remembrance. All money raised will be split between Macmillan Nurses and St Teresas Hospice.
The programme includes a series of 5K licenced races with runners seeded according to predicted finishing times to group participants by pace. Runners in the 5K must be aged 11 and over. There is also a U12 One Mile race to provide a shorter, age-appropriate opportunity for young athletes. The event concludes with a mass run of about 2 miles that includes participants from earlier races together with family and supporters.
