About the race
The Darlington Half Marathon on 6 December 2026 is a fully road-closed half marathon organised by RunThrough around High Row, Darlington, UK. The route is described as a flat 13.1-mile course that starts in the town centre, heads west onto quiet rural roads in County Durham, and finishes on High Street in Darlington. The countryside sections offer long, uninterrupted stretches and wide views, while the final miles return runners into a town‑centre atmosphere with growing crowds.
Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are deployed along the course to guide and support runners. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post race goodies. An event village at the finish provides food and drink options and free partner goodies. The event supports the charity Darlington Mind and the organiser reports a focus on sustainability in event delivery. An event t-shirt is available at a reported discount when purchased as part of the entry package through the organiser’s kit partner.
Information published by the organiser notes ticketed entry periods with early pricing tiers and that further event information will be provided to entrants closer to the date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
