Run for Education : October 11, 2026
The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation presents the 2026 Run for Education on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event marks its 43rd year as a community tradition in the San Ramon Valley and supports STEAM grants, district-level programs, professional learning, and individual teacher grants across 35 San Ramon Valley Unified School District public schools serving Alamo, Danville, and San Ramon. For 2026 the race venue changes: Iron Horse Middle School in San Ramon will host the 5K, Mini Run, Friendship Run, and 1.5 mile event. The 10K will start at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville and finish at Iron Horse Middle School. The 5K and 10K are timed and printable certificates will be available.

Bibs are required on course; only Mini Run bibs are allowed on the Mini Run course. Two-year-old Mini Run participants may be accompanied by one parent or guardian. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Bicycles and dogs are not allowed on the course. Mini, Friendship, 1.5 Mile, and 5K registrations include a short-sleeve cotton shirt and a souvenir medal; 10K adults receive a long-sleeve tech shirt. Shirts not picked up by October 30, 2026 will be donated.
Each registration generates a fundraising page. Funds raised are split 70% to the chosen school and 30% to SRVEF for district-wide initiatives. Student and group discounts apply beginning 11/1/2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
