Run for Education
The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation presents the 43rd Run for Education on October 11, 2026. The event is a long running community tradition in the San Ramon Valley that offers opportunities to walk or run in support of local public schools. Registration for 2026 is open.
The event features multiple course options and on course entertainment. In recent years school musical ensembles and cheer groups performed along the 5K and 10K routes. Event day activities include a kids zone, inflatable games, a face painter, an SRVFPD fire engine, an SRPD patrol car, exhibitor booths, and other family friendly attractions.
Proceeds support STEAM grants and innovative programs across the 35 San Ramon Valley Unified School District public schools serving Alamo, Danville, and San Ramon. The run is organized by the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation as a fundraiser for district programs and grants.
A logo design contest for the 2024 through 2026 events invites SRVUSD students to submit original artwork. Designs must include the SRVEF tree and the words 43rd Annual Run for Education, be colorful and visible from a distance, and be original art not made from clip art stock copyrighted or AI generated images. The winning design will be used on event t shirts and advertising and receives six Oakland Ballers tickets plus a run entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
