2026 Run for 102 Race to the Finish
The 11th annual Run for 102 Race to the Finish is a community event held in La Grange Park, Illinois. The event is organized by the District 102 PTOs and PTCs to benefit several local schools, including Barnsdale Road, Congress Park, Cossitt Avenue, Forest Road, Ogden Avenue, and Park Junior High. The courses begin and end at the Ogden Avenue School and travel through local residential streets.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 1 Mile Fun Run specifically offers awards for participants in grades K-8. For the 5K, medals are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers in specific grade levels for children. The event uses disposable chip timing tags attached to the race bibs for accurate results recording.
Walkers and strollers are permitted but must remain at the back of the starting group. For safety reasons, dogs, roller blades, bicycles, and skateboards are not allowed on the course. A post-race gathering follows the competition and features music and appearances by school mascots. Parking is available at the Park Junior High parking lot or on designated streets near the school, excluding the race route itself. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
