Run Falmouth Half Marathon
Run Falmouth is a road half marathon based in Falmouth and the nearby village of Mawnan Smith. The route follows the coast and then runs inland, taking in views of Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth beaches. The course is a single 13.1 mile / 21.1 kilometre loop run entirely on roads and is the fifth race in the Cornwall Grand Prix road running series.
The event is organised from Race HQ at the Princess Pavilion, 41 Melvill Road, Falmouth TR11 4AR. Entrants must collect their race number at Race HQ on the day and there are no on-the-day entries. There is no official baggage storage; bags left at the pavilion are at the owner’s risk. Toilets are available at Race HQ; there are no changing rooms or showers. Food and drink can be purchased nearby at Gylly Beach Café and Castle Beach Café.
The race uses chip timing with placings awarded on gun to chip time; timing chips are worn on the ankle and must be returned after the race. Prizes are awarded to overall and age-group finishers and to male and female teams. Marshals will be placed around the route and a series rule bans personal audio devices while running. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted on the course.
Run Falmouth links with Cornwall Hospice Care; a donation from each entry fee supports the charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
