Event Overview
Run Falmouth is a coastal road running event located in Cornwall. The race is part of the Cornish Road Running Grand Prix Series, serving as the fifth race in the circuit. The course follows a single-loop route through Falmouth and the village of Mawnan Smith, providing views of Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, and Maenporth beaches.
The event offers a single distance:
- 21.1 km (13.1 miles)
Participation and Registration
The race has a participation limit of 750 runners. Registration is conducted online and closes once capacity is reached or by the specified deadline in March. There are no entries available on the day of the event. To participate, runners must collect their race numbers during the morning check-in at the Princess Pavilion.
The event uses chip timing to record participant results, with timing chips worn on the ankle. All devices must be returned after the finish. Several competition rules are in place:
- Personal audio devices and MP3 players are prohibited for safety reasons.
- Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages, and cycles are not permitted on the course.
- Competitors may not be accompanied by external support on foot or via vehicles.
Facilities and Logistics
The Race HQ is located at the Princess Pavilion. While there is no official supervised baggage storage, items can be left at the pavilion at the owner's risk. Toilets are available at the headquarters, though there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers on-site. Parking is available at the Dell and Maritime pay-and-display car parks, located approximately a 10-minute walk from the start.
