Run Falmouth - Half Marathon
Run Falmouth is a road half marathon in Falmouth, Cornwall. The course is described as undulating and follows the coast before heading inland. The event is the fifth race in the Cornwall Road Running Grand Prix Series and takes place entirely on roads.
The race is limited to 1000 entrants and is organised by IntoTRI Cornwall. Race headquarters are at the Princess Pavilion, 41 Melvill Road, Falmouth TR11 4AR. Entrants must collect their race number on the day; there are no on the day entries. There is no official baggage storage though bags may be left at the pavilion at the owner’s risk.
The event uses chip timing and official placings are awarded using gun to chip time. Timing chips are worn on the ankle and must be returned at the end of the race. Toilets are available at Race HQ; there are no changing rooms or showers. Food and drink can be purchased at nearby cafés.
Personal audio devices such as MP3 players are banned for safety reasons. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are also banned and competitors cannot be accompanied or followed during the race. The event links with Cornwall Hospice Care for fundraising and £2 from every entry fee is donated to that charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
