About the race
Run Dahlonega 5K is scheduled for March 21, 2026 at the University of North Georgia Campus in Dahlonega, GA. The event centers on a 5K road race and includes a virtual runner option, a student 5K, and several sponsorship levels such as corporate, gold, silver, bronze, and supporter. The course passes through the rolling hills of North Georgia and historical downtown Dahlonega and uses RFID chip timing.
The start and finish are located at the drill field of the University of North Georgia. Proceeds are designated for two charities with 80% benefiting the South Enotah Child Advocacy Center and 20% benefiting Prevent Child Abuse America. Team registration is available; teams of ten or more receive a reduced rate of $15 per person with a refund process for earlier registrants when the team reaches ten members. Shirts are guaranteed to runners registered by March 1, 2026; later registrants receive shirts while supplies last.
Awards are given to top overall male and female, top male and female masters age 40 and over, and top three male and female in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 and over. A remembrance option supports Prevent Child Abuse America through a blue and silver pinwheel placement in honor of a purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
