About the race
The Conquer is a backyard ultra taking place at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, GA on December 5, 2026. The event uses a repeating loop format: each runner has one hour to complete the loop and must start the next loop on the hour until only one runner remains. The course begins at the top of the falls, follows the East Ridge trail down to the lower Mountain Laurel trail, then returns via the AT Approach with 605 steps back to the top. The loop distance is listed as 3.6 miles with approximately 1,025 ft of elevation per lap.
The event offers cash prizes and timed awards. For 2026 the grand prize pays $1,000 to the last man and $1,000 to the last woman; an additional $1,000 is available if the event exceeds a record of 36 loops. Separate distance achievements include the Marathon Challenge (8 loops), the 24-Hour Challenge (24 loops), and the Everest Challenge (29 loops). Registration windows and fees are published: regular registration June 1 to Sept. 30, 2026, late registration Oct. 1 to Dec. 5, 2026; entry fees are listed at $150 early and $175 late. Participants must print and sign a waiver for check-in. No pacers are allowed; support crews may assist at the finish area. Organizers provide park admission and parking, timing services, snacks and water, free photos, and custom DNW medals for all nonwinning participants.
