Amicalola Falls Marathon - Dawsonville, GA
The event offers two distances held inside Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. It uses the park's trail network, which passes waterfalls, creeks, and overlooks.
- Full Marathon : 26.2 miles (two 13.1-mile loops)
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles
The course starts at the top of the falls and follows marked trails including East Ridge, Mountain Laurel, Len Foote, and the Appalachian Approach Trail. The route includes the Appalachian Approach Trail steps (605 steps). The surface is largely singletrack with some gravel and paved sections; the stated composition is 83% singletrack and 17% gravel or paved. Race rules require following flagged course routing, punching all flags for credit, courteous conduct toward other users, no littering, and obeying race staff and medical personnel.
