Amicalola Falls Marathon : Dawsonville, GA
The event includes a full marathon and a half marathon held on trails within Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. Both courses use forested singletrack and gravel or paved sections, with the stated trail composition of 83% singletrack and 17% gravel or paved.

The course starts at the top of Amicalola Falls and follows East Ridge Trail, Mountain Laurel Trail, the Appalachian Approach Trail (including the 605 steps up the falls), and the Len Foote Trail. The full marathon is described as having approximately 6,400 feet of elevation gain and loss; the half marathon shows about 3,200 feet of elevation gain and loss. The route is marked with signs and flagging throughout, and participants must punch all flags to receive credit for the course.
Two fully stocked aid stations provide food, drinks, and medical support. The event offers professional timing, free race photos and videos, a race shirt or hat, and a finisher medal.
