Run Barns Green event information
Run Barns Green is a running festival held near Horsham in West Sussex. The programme includes a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K and the Jennings Junior Jog for younger runners. Races take place on closed roads through the West Sussex countryside, with the half marathon and 10K routes passing through Christ’s Hospital school.
The event is organised by volunteers and supports local charities, with St Catherine’s Hospice named as the official charity for 2026. Participants receive chip timing and medals for finishers; pacers are provided for senior races. Water stations, distance markers and marshals are placed along the routes. Live music appears at the start and finish areas and on parts of the course, and a professional warm-up is provided before the races.
Race headquarters is at Barns Green Village Hall; three large car parks are used on race day and parking is free. Age requirements for races are published: half marathon (age 17+), 10K (age 15+), 5K (age 11+), Jennings Junior Jog (age 4-11).
