About the race
Run Barns Green is a community running festival held near Horsham in West Sussex. The 2026 event takes place on 27 September and includes races for a wide range of ages and abilities. The event is organised entirely by volunteers and continues to support local charities, with St Catherine's Hospice as the official charity for 2026.
The programme includes the following races:
- Half Marathon (age 17+)
- 10K (age 15+)
- 5K (age 11+)
- Jennings Junior Jog Kids Colour Run (age 4-11)
Races are held on closed roads through the West Sussex countryside, with the half marathon and 10K routes passing through the grounds of Christ’s Hospital school. The senior races use chip timing, include pacers, and provide medals for all finishers. Water stations are available on the 10K and half marathon routes. Along the course there are distance markers, marshals, live bands and music at the start and finish, plus local spectators.
Practical details include free parking across three large car parks and race headquarters at Barns Green Village Hall, Muntham Drive, Barns Green.
