Event Overview
The Ruidoso Runfest is a two-day running event taking place on September 18th and 19th. It is hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation department.
Event Distances
The event offers several race distances over the weekend:
- Pizza Hut 5K
- Kids 1K fun run
- Ruidoso Half Marathon
- Ruidoso Marathon
- State-Forty-Seven Road 47K/50K presented by Bluebird Running. The 47K is for overall and age group awards. An optional extra loop is available to complete a 50K distance.
Weekend Schedule
Friday night begins with the Pizza Hut 5K and Kids 1K. The finish line at Wingfield Park will have music, post-race pizza provided by Pizza Hut, and a beer garden.
Saturday features the marathon, half marathon, and the 47K/50K. The 47K/50K has a cutoff time of 2:00 PM. The day includes awards, post-race food from Pizza Hut, live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and a bear carving demonstration.
Additional Information
All race participants receive a commemorative medal and custom shirt. Post-race showers will be available at the Ruidoso Athletic Club. Photographers will be present. The 47K/50K is limited to the first 75 registrants.
Packet pickup for all events is at Wingfield Park on Friday. Saturday packet pickup is at the race start location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
