Ruidoso Runfest
Ruidoso Runfest is a two day community running event held September 18 and 19, 2026 at 104 Kit Carson Rd, Fort Stanton, New Mexico. The weekend is hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation department and combines road races with a festival atmosphere that includes live music, food trucks, and a beer garden operated by Downshift Brewing Company.
The event program includes multiple race distances and family activities:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 47K with optional extra loop to reach 50K
- Pizza Hut 5K
- Kids 1K
Race services and participant features mentioned include packet pickup at Wingfield Park and at the Saturday race start location, post race showers at the Ruidoso Athletic Club, on site photographers, and post race pizza provided by Pizza Hut. All race participants receive a commemorative medal and custom shirt, and the 47K event offers distinct swag including a long sleeve shirt, trucker cap, and a custom 47K medal; a 50K charm is available for those who complete the extra loop. The 47K/50K field is limited to the first 75 registrants. Awards are planned for overall and age group finishers across events, with special RunFest Bear awards for top marathon, half marathon, and 47K finishers.
