Ruidoso Runfest
Ruidoso Runfest is a two-day running festival held at 104 Kit Carson Rd in Fort Stanton, New Mexico and hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation department. The weekend combines road races with live music, food trucks, a beer garden operated by Downshift Brewing Company, and local demonstrations such as bear carving.
Race offerings across the weekend include:
- Pizza Hut 5K
- Kids 1K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- State Forty-Seven 47K with an optional extra loop to complete a 50K
Packet pickup is managed from Wingfield Park. Post-race showers are available at the Ruidoso Athletic Club. Photographers will be on site and a photo gallery from the 2025 event is available. Participants receive commemorative shirts and medals; the State Forty-Seven event has distinct swag including a long-sleeved shirt, a trucker cap, and a custom 47K medal, with an optional 50K charm for those who complete the extra distance.
Awards include overall and age-group prizes, custom charms for specified age divisions, and special awards for top finishers in several events. The Bluebird Running Co. presentation supports the 47K/50K, which is limited to a set number of registrants. A military discount is offered for eligible U.S. service members and veterans on certain distance entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
