Ruidoso Runfest : Fort Stanton, NM
Ruidoso Runfest is a weekend running event hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation department at 104 Kit Carson Rd, Fort Stanton, NM. The program combines road races with a festival atmosphere that includes live music, food trucks, a beer garden by Downshift Brewing Company, and a chainsaw bear carving demonstration. Post-race showers are available at the Ruidoso Athletic Club, and photographers document the weekend. Packet pick up locations include Wingfield Park and the race start location. A T-shirt size is guaranteed for those registered by midnight on September 6.

Awards include overall and age-group prizes, special edition RunFest Bear awards for top finishers in specified races, custom Pizza Hut awards for the 5K, and unique swag for the 47K/50K such as a long-sleeved shirt, trucker cap, and custom medal. A military discount of 15% applies to the full and half marathon and the 47K/50K for eligible U.S. service members and veterans; valid military ID is required to receive discounted race packets.
