Ruidoso Runfest 2026
The Ruidoso Runfest is a multi-distance running event held over two days in Fort Stanton and Ruidoso, New Mexico. Hosted by the Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation department, the weekend features various road races alongside a festival atmosphere.
The event program includes the following distances:
- Kids 1K Fun Run
- Pizza Hut 5K
- Ruidoso Half Marathon
- Ruidoso Marathon
- State-Forty-Seven 47K/50K Road Run
The 47K/50K is a premier road ultra-marathon limited to the first 75 registrants. Participants in this category compete for age group awards over the 47K distance, with the option to complete an additional 3K loop to reach the full 50K distance.
Friday's activities take place at Wingfield Park, which serves as the finish line for the 5K and Kids 1K. The venue provides post-race refreshments, music, and a beer garden. Saturday's events focus on the longer distances, with a festival environment featuring live music, food trucks, and a bear carving demonstration.
All participants receive a commemorative medal and a custom shirt. Post-race showers are available to runners at the Ruidoso Athletic Club. For those unable to attend in person, virtual options are available for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K distances.
Packet pickup is organized at Wingfield Park on Friday afternoon, while Saturday morning pickup for the long-distance races occurs at the specific race start locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
