2nd Annual Ruidoso RunFest
The Ruidoso RunFest is a two-day running event in downtown Ruidoso on September 18 and 19, 2026. Activities center on Wingfield Park and Fort Stanton (Museum) and combine road races with a finish-line festival atmosphere.

- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 47K / 50K road race
- 5K
- Kids 1K
Friday evening features the Pizza Hut 5K and Kids 1K at Wingfield Park, with live music, a finish-line celebration, post-race pizza, and a beer garden. The setting is described as a community-focused evening with social activities near the park.
Saturday presents the longer-distance races with start location at Fort Stanton. The day includes awards ceremonies, live music near the finish area, food trucks, post-race dining, and a beer garden hosted by Downshift Brewing Company. A live bear carving demonstration is scheduled as part of the festival offerings.
All participants receive a custom event shirt and a commemorative medal. Age-group and overall awards are presented during the event.
