Rowayton Turkey Trot
A Thanksgiving tradition in Rowayton, Connecticut, featuring two courses that run through the neighborhood. The event is based at the Rowayton Community Center, 33 Highland Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
The event offers these distances:
- 5 km road race through Rowayton streets
- 1 mile fun run with optional participation
Chip transponders are used to capture start-to-finish times. Participants are asked not to crowd the start; 1 mile runners are asked to line up at the back of the pack to allow 5 km runners space to begin.
All race day registration is electronic. Same-day bib pickup is not guaranteed; registered runners may run without a bib but will not receive an official time. 1 mile runners do not need bibs, though vanity number 1 bibs are available.
Early bib pickup sessions are scheduled for Saturday November 21, 10 AM to noon at the Rowayton Community Center, and Tuesday and Wednesday November 24 and 25, 3 to 6 PM at Connecticut Running Company on Brook Street in Darien. Race day bib pickup is available but limited.
Parking is available at Graham Capital, 40 Highland Avenue, across the street from the Community Center, and at Rowayton Elementary, down the hill from the Community Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
