Rotary Club of Westerville Independence Day 5K
The Rotary Club of Westerville presents an Independence Day running program on July 4, 2026 at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N Cleveland Ave. The event is part of a day-long Fourth of July celebration that includes a parade, a concert and food truck festival, and a fireworks display.
The 5K events are held on paved multipurpose trails that pass through the Sports Complex, go under Cleveland Avenue, run along the Westerville Community Center property to Heritage Park, and return to the start/finish area adjacent to the Veterans Memorial Plaza. Proceeds from the race will benefit local veterans and first responder organizations. An Honor Guard presentation opens the day and the traditional Kids Fun Run takes place before the main 5K.
Registration is pre-registration only; there will be NO race-day registration. Packet pickup is available the two days before the race at Polaris Fleet Feet, 1270 E. Powell Rd, with pickup from noon to 6 p.m. on those two days. Participants in the 5K receive an event T-shirt, a race medal, and additional items. Kids Fun Run participants receive a medal.
