Rotary Club of Westerville Independence Day 5K
The Rotary Club of Westerville Independence Day 5K is a July 4, 2026 running event at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH. The event coincides with America's 250th birthday and is part of a full day of community activities including a parade, concert and fireworks.
The event offers multiple youth and adult race options:
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run 50 yards and 100 yards
The 5K course uses paved multipurpose trails on the Sports Complex property, goes under Cleveland Avenue, passes the Westerville Community Center property, reaches Heritage Park, and returns to the start/finish near the Veterans Memorial Plaza. An Honor Guard presentation precedes the races. Proceeds benefit Children of Valor.
Registration is pre-registration only with no race-day registration. Fees listed for event entries include a standard 5K fee, a reduced fee for veterans/active duty military and first responders, and a separate fee for the Kids Fun Run. Participants in the 5K receive an event T-shirt, a race medal and additional items; Kids Fun Run participants receive a medal.
