Rose Festival Street Mile
The Rose Festival Street Mile is a point-to-point one-mile road race held in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, May 30th, 2026. The course starts on Sandy Blvd adjacent to Fire Station 28 at NE 56th Ave and runs west toward the finish. The route has a net elevation loss of about 58 feet, a little over a 1% downhill grade. Runners navigate a single right turn at NE 40th at roughly 0.87 miles, followed by a final 200 m sprint to the finish. The course offers views of the Portland skyline from the east.
There are four wave categories with pace expectations: Family Fun Mile, Competitive (sub 10-minute mile), Elite Women (sub 6-minute mile), and Elite Men (sub 5-minute mile). Walkers are welcome and the Family Fun Mile is open to all paces. All races are chip timed and live results will be posted during the event; registrants may receive results by text if a mobile number is included in their registration.
Packet pick up is available in person the day before at Portland Running Company and on race day at Our Lady of LaVang Church. Gear check is offered at the start area; the finish line is just under one mile from the start, so participants should plan how to retrieve checked items. Parking at start and finish is limited and rolling road closures may occur; public transit access via TriMet to The Hollywood Transit Center is nearby. Entry fees are $25 with a $10 rate for juniors 10 and under. The event does not offer refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
