Rose Festival Street Mile
The Rose Festival Street Mile is a one mile point-to-point road race in Portland, Oregon. The course begins on Sandy Boulevard adjacent to Fire Station 28 at NE 56th Avenue and runs west along Sandy Boulevard. The route has a net elevation loss of approximately 58 feet, just over a 1% grade downhill. Runners follow the road with a single right turn at NE 40th at about 0.87 miles, leaving a final 200 meter sprint to the finish.
The event is organized as four separate waves: Family Fun Mile, Competitive (sub 10-minute mile), Elite Women (sub 6-minute mile) and Elite Men (sub 5-minute mile). All races are chip timed and live results will be posted during the event. Competitors who include a mobile phone number in their registration can receive results via text.
Entry fees are listed as $25 for general entry and $10 for juniors 10 and under. Packet pick up is available in person on the day before the race at Portland Running Company and on event day at Our Lady of LaVang Church beginning at 8:30am. Gear check is available at LaVang Church and will operate on the morning of the event. Parking is limited near the start and finish and rolling road closures are expected; TriMet service to the Hollywood Transit Center is just over one mile from the start and about 0.3 mile from the finish.
