Happy Valley Fun Run and Walk
The 47th Annual Happy Valley Fun Run and Walk is a community fundraising event presented by the Happy Valley Elementary PTO at Happy Valley Elementary School on May 16, 2026. The event offers timed road races and a non-timed youth dash, with proceeds supporting the elementary school.
Distances offered include:
- 1 mile Kids Dash, ages 11 and under, non-timed
- 5K chip-timed run/walk
- 10K chip-timed run/walk
Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on the morning of the event. Shirts are available for registered participants; registration must be completed by May 1 to guarantee a shirt and sizes become limited after that date. There are special registration options that waive entry fees for NCSD teachers and staff for the 5K and 10K while shirts remain available for purchase, and volunteer entries are available for the Kids Dash.
The route is planned along sidewalks for safety and accessibility. Strollers are allowed. Parents may accompany children during the Kids Dash, which travels from the elementary school to the middle school and back and is led by a fire or police vehicle. Dogs are permitted on school grounds when leashed and owners are responsible for cleanup. All shirts and race packets must be collected at the event before the races begin.
