Distances
The event features multiple race distances. These include:
- Grade-level races for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
- A 5K run or walk for high school students, middle school students, and adults.
Course Details
The student courses follow paths around Washougal High School and Gause Elementary School. High school athletes jog with the younger runners to guide and encourage them. Adult volunteers are positioned along the route for safety. The 5K course winds through Washougal neighborhoods. All races finish at the Washougal High School stadium. Student runners report to a holding area in the WHS stadium parking lot before their race. At the finish, participants receive a bottle of water and a medal. Elementary students wait in a secured holding area for adult pick-up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
